Air Filter Replacement
A clean engine air filter helps keep your car, truck, or SUV’s engine performing better and more efficiently.
A typical Air Filtration Replacement Service at Hosie and Brown Service includes:
- Replacement of your engine air filter, which improves gas mileage, engine performance, and acceleration.
- Replacement of the breather element (if required) to help keep contaminants out of the engine oil.
- Replacement of the PCV Valve (if applicable and/or needed) to reduce fumes, air pollution and wear on engine parts.
Cabin Filter Replacement
Fortunately, all new cars, trucks, and SUV’s, now have cabin air filter(s) to clean incoming air. However, this means that they need to be replaced every once in a while in order to ensure proper operation. By regularly changing the cabin air filter(s) in your vehicle, you can guarantee the air inside your vehicle will be cleaner, smell better, and be free of allergens and other air-borne bacteria which can affect you and your passenger’s health.
Some cabin air filters are electro-statically charged, and/or have active high-tech filtration media which work like a magnet to collect pollutants as they try to enter and move through your car.
For more information about the recommended cabin filter replacement intervals, please refer to your owner’s manual. As a general rule of thumb however, it should be noted that cabin air filters should be replaced about every 25,000 kilometers.
